Sephora-land Adventures ft. Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Review!

Hey y’all. I'm back again to eat some more brainzzz. This previous week was filled with lotsa happenings and trips, one of which was my ever anticipated trip to Sephora the Dubai Mall..

After all the efforts made by me, hubsy finally agreed to take me to Dubai Mall. Last week, Huda Kattan posted that first 40 customers at the Sephora Dubai Mall on a certain launch night will receive Huda Beauty’s ENTIREEEE collection, which included all her amazing Lashes, her Lip contour pencils, Her liquid lippies, the rose gold palette, and the two new 3D highlighter palettes!!!

This was sooo HUGEEE that Huda’s security had to cancel the giveaway event and Huda’s meet and greet because of the HUGEEE amount of ladies that flooded Dubai Mall that certain day. Luckily on the day of the giveaway, I didn’t visit Sephora (even tho I was devastated), but after the news broke out, I was RELIEVEDDD!! And so, I rescheduled for next week for my visit! But hubsy was still pretty doubtful and his 6th sense came true; Sephora still was flooded with so many ladies especially at the Huda Beauty booth. All the ladies including me were going crazy for the spectacular Huda Beauty 3D highlighters.

I waited in a queue for my turn to come. Meanwhile I took so many fail pictures of the crowd to show my sisters how crazy the whole vibe was in Sephora! When I got my hands on the palette a no-no triggered my head as I first swatched the creamy white one. Creamy highlighters really don't go with my skin texture. But after swatching all the 8 shades (4 in each palette), I really became the fan of Two specific shades in the two palettes! Capri from pink sands edition and Zanzibar from golden sands edition were beyond prettyyyy. It is the perfect color to go with fair to medium skin tones, and the glow is STUNNINGGG!!. As I'm very conscious about selecting products for my skin tone and texture, I think these two specific highlighter shades were just too perfect and I didn't find them difficult to adjust with my skin. Huda Beauty really did a wonderful job as both palettes were launched for all types of skin and skin tones. The only one I didn't like was the whitish colored Santorini which is a cream based highlighter and not a good option for me.

picture from google! my swatches didnt translate into the pictures i took

Here I would like to talk about the price point too. It’s sure a high end product with a big big price tag. Each palette of 4 highlighters costs Aed 245 which is sure not a pocket friendly amount and also I would say no value for money as some might not like all 4 or someone's skin might not match with all 4, but hey, that’s just me! Overall great product. I wish they were available separately so that I could buy my 2 very very favorite ones.

The day didn't end at Sephora. After all the aggressive pushes I faced in the outlet by the ladies, I finally decided to leave the place at once after I was done drooling over the highlighters. Hubsy noticed I wasn't as happy as I was while entering. So he asked me for coffee to chill. And well, yeah we went to our all-time favorite Starbucks. Yusha enjoyed pomegranate cheesecake and mannnn..... It was hella yumm. We both enjoyed cappuccino and Frappuccino too. And we sorta ended the day on a very good note, alhamdulilah! (I also got Sephora’s white membership lmao don’t judge).
