Sephora-land Adventures ft. Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Review!

Hey y’all. I'm back again to eat some more brainzzz. This previous week was filled with lotsa happenings and trips, one of which was my ever anticipated trip to Sephora the Dubai Mall..

After all the efforts made by me, hubsy finally agreed to take me to Dubai Mall. Last week, Huda Kattan posted that first 40 customers at the Sephora Dubai Mall on a certain launch night will receive Huda Beauty’s ENTIREEEE collection, which included all her amazing Lashes, her Lip contour pencils, Her liquid lippies, the rose gold palette, and the two new 3D highlighter palettes!!!

This was sooo HUGEEE that Huda’s security had to cancel the giveaway event and Huda’s meet and greet because of the HUGEEE amount of ladies that flooded Dubai Mall that certain day. Luckily on the day of the giveaway, I didn’t visit Sephora (even tho I was devastated), but after the news broke out, I was RELIEVEDDD!! And so, I rescheduled for next week for my visit! But hubsy was still pretty doubtful and his 6th sense came true; Sephora still was flooded with so many ladies especially at the Huda Beauty booth. All the ladies including me were going crazy for the spectacular Huda Beauty 3D highlighters.

I waited in a queue for my turn to come. Meanwhile I took so many fail pictures of the crowd to show my sisters how crazy the whole vibe was in Sephora! When I got my hands on the palette a no-no triggered my head as I first swatched the creamy white one. Creamy highlighters really don't go with my skin texture. But after swatching all the 8 shades (4 in each palette), I really became the fan of Two specific shades in the two palettes! Capri from pink sands edition and Zanzibar from golden sands edition were beyond prettyyyy. It is the perfect color to go with fair to medium skin tones, and the glow is STUNNINGGG!!. As I'm very conscious about selecting products for my skin tone and texture, I think these two specific highlighter shades were just too perfect and I didn't find them difficult to adjust with my skin. Huda Beauty really did a wonderful job as both palettes were launched for all types of skin and skin tones. The only one I didn't like was the whitish colored Santorini which is a cream based highlighter and not a good option for me.

picture from google! my swatches didnt translate into the pictures i took

Here I would like to talk about the price point too. It’s sure a high end product with a big big price tag. Each palette of 4 highlighters costs Aed 245 which is sure not a pocket friendly amount and also I would say no value for money as some might not like all 4 or someone's skin might not match with all 4, but hey, that’s just me! Overall great product. I wish they were available separately so that I could buy my 2 very very favorite ones.

The day didn't end at Sephora. After all the aggressive pushes I faced in the outlet by the ladies, I finally decided to leave the place at once after I was done drooling over the highlighters. Hubsy noticed I wasn't as happy as I was while entering. So he asked me for coffee to chill. And well, yeah we went to our all-time favorite Starbucks. Yusha enjoyed pomegranate cheesecake and mannnn..... It was hella yumm. We both enjoyed cappuccino and Frappuccino too. And we sorta ended the day on a very good note, alhamdulilah! (I also got Sephora’s white membership lmao don’t judge).

GLAMBOX Subscription: Worth it or nah?

Salam Hello Marhaba to all the readers out there. I got time today to write about something very interesting that happened to me last week. I was trying to take a break from my very busy routine but Yusha is getting quite active and hyper Mashallah tabarak'allah. It’s a completely new experience for me as he was a very very calm baby since he was born. I think it’s the growth spurt.

Now coming back to the reason for this blog. A few days back while scrolling my Instagram I saw this IG account of Glambox and found the concept very interesting. Glambox is a monthly subscription box of beauty products as per the liking of the subscribers. They could be purchased monthly with subscription, or once to try out, or with an introductory three/Six/Twelve months subscription. After seeing their sponsors and the contents of the box (They were LEGIT!!), I ordered my 3 months subscription without second thoughts, and then came my 1st month Glambox. As mentioned on their website I got mine right on time.

I was super super excited to see the surprise products in it.

The packaging alone was so beautiful, that i didn't wanted to open it and mess it up. 😜

Now coming to the products. It had 9 things. All related to skin and hair care. All the products were High End. Previously I've only used Palmer's and I'm quite satisfied with their products. All other products however were pretty new for me. On one side I was nervous to use anything on my skin or hair but on the other side I was convinced to trust Glambox.

Being a makeup junkie I first used AVÈNE Cleanance Micellar Water. And as they advertised that it becomes your best-friend, it surely became mine. I just simply simply lurrrveeee it. It’s basically a no rinse cleansing water. It leaves your skin fresh after removing all the makeup residues and impurities. Best part is it cleans so well that even the kohl mascara liners do not leave a smudgy effect. I'm definitely going to buy this one since I'm already obsessed with it and need to stock up on it ASAP!

Another AVÈNE's product in the GLAMBOX was Cleanance Soapless Gel Cleanser. As the name says its a gel based cleanser. Very light on the skin. And after cleansing it doesn't leave a sticky feeling on the skin. 10+ points to AVÈNE!

Then comes the Shea butter. And for that i need not to say anything. Shea butter is the best friend for the hydration of the skin. And after using TREE HUT's Shea body butter I can feel the difference in my skin. Fully hydrated and very very smooth in texture. They're using all the organic ingredients in all of their products. So yeah, it makes their products way better than many in the market.

The last three are yet to be used so yeah hang in there. Soon will come up with their review as well. But yeah, the last three products were Phyto Paris Ultra Repairing Mask for weak and damaged hair, Derma e Purifying Detox Scrub, and Body Boom Coffee Scrub!

Last but not the least in my Glambox were the amazing amazing discount vouchers. I’m dying to use them ASAP as they have pretty awesome posum discounts on the best things in UAE.

So this is it! The total cost of the three month subscription of GLAMBOX is 300 Dhs that makes 100 Dhs per month! The Glambox For sure had value for money because 8 High End products in one box is not a bad deal, and considering the added crazy discount vouchers to splurge on, I think it’s a win win situation for everybody! So, for me, IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT!!

If you're in the UAE, do check the Glambox out. Not sure if they deliver their subscription to other countries, but y'all can check out their website here! I hope this review was helpful to all the ladies out there!

Till then, love your kids and family and try to be good human beings 😂😂😂 and yes don't forget to comment!.

Love,

Anum
