Mother's Day Special ft. Nido Arabia!

Hey y'all. Firstly, bear with my bombardment of blogs. But I have a very good explanation. I was planning to start my blog for quite a long time now but was also afraid to write my thoughts and reviews. I already have so many things in my phone and its pretty easy to compile them now since my blog is up and running now!

Living alone far far from family in a completely new country is not easy especially when you don't know anyone. But I'm used to of this life now as I have already spent first 10 months of marriage in KSA. Life in UAE is not at all slow as it was there. Lots of interesting things happen here every single day. My daily routine haven't changed a bit but some extra chores have been added. Yes off course, mostly those chores comprises of  Yusha's.

Getting back to the blog, Last month Mothers' Day was celebrated in the Middle East. Lots of offers were seen everywhere. But who cares when free gifts are in the market. @NidoPlusArabia launched their campaign of 3,500 free gifts in the first round then for the second round this month they were 3,200. Luckily I got my pack in the first round.

The box was no ordinary. Everything in it was very useful. As Yusha just turned 1, I wanted to give him a spill-free bottle so that he can also enjoy his summer drinks and so, he got a very adorable one in the pack. Second was a heart-shaped pillow and a message was written on it. I never found anything for my baby on which something good is written for the MAMA. Its the first and maybe the last time I found a message for me. The pillow have a " I love u MAMA" on it and it's adorable to the max!. Seeing this made my day. I now will cherish this pillow, and every memory related to it and Yusha very dearly!. :D

Third was a height measuring scale with beautiful colors on it and I have already decided a place where I'm gonna paste it. Fourth gift is already on its place. and that's a frame magnet. I was super excited to see it. The same day printed a beautiful pic of Yusha. Placed it in the frame and now I can see it everyday as I've put it on my fridge. Fifth was Nido itself. And some discount vouchers which I'm sure will help me in future as I'm already in the weaning phase.

And that is it! If you're a mother in the middle east, you might be able to get this pack on your local stores. Do keep an eye out for future promotional giveaways and lucky draws, because who know, one might actually get lucky!

And yes, Guiseee... your suggestions and guidelines to boost my blogging skills possess a great importance to me. So do hit me back, leave a comment, or something! Till then, Hydrate, and bless up!

Love,

Anum

My Almost-Adventure to La-La-Land

SO here I am ... again .. trying to come up with something interesting to write, but still at a loss of words. I hate over thinking to the max but constantly end up in this same situation. Lol @ my life. But anyway, overthinking is my jammm, and in those spirits, I'll start the blog about how we NEARLY had an adventure of a lifetime, in the land of DOOOOBAI.. so here is my utterly sad and sob-worthy story...

I have been in UAE for like one year now and believe it or not, we never really got to visit "Ski Dubai". The place that I had been dreaming of since a very excruciatingly long time. My romance with this place dates back to the old days when we used to receive those forwarded mails in our client emails regarding some amazing stuff around the world. This particular mail about "Ski Dubai" remained all over my senses for a good one month. And again, it took over my senses when I was boarding the flight to Dubai last year.

As hubsy have only 1 day off in the week, so life here was pretty hectic initially. And fulfilling my wishes were nearly impossible as all the work descends on that particular day off. And, well, we finally planned our date to "SKI DUBAI" . I packed all the important stuff for Yusha  (My gorgeous little boy mashaAllah) irrespective of knowing whether he was allowed in there or not. Let me mention here that I'm kind of "GOOGLE-GIRL" as I use literally google everything on my phone in a jiffy. Be it a sale on any brand or food recipe or anything. But this time, lord jesus... My excitement was on peak and didn't even think for once to just check about the guidelines and the do's and don'ts.

Well we rushed to The Mall of Emirates and quickly reached to the doors of ICE LAND (I love calling it that), waited in queue for our turn while my heart was filled with so much emotions and joy. As soon as our turn came and the counter guy saw Yusha and the last thing I heard was a blast. Oh yess you guys read it right.. An imaginary sound of a blast that was confined to my head. Yusha wasn't allowed in there as he was under 2 years old.

After a lot of sad emotions and arguments, we accepted defeat whilst making fun of ourselves. Then, we treated ourselves with KFC's new CHIZZA, and I think it is necessary to mention that this day was an utter disappointment for us from the beginning to the end. The hype KFC created was all a lie. It wasn't even close to what I had expected. It was just a sad sad deep fried chicken with a little cheese on top, and not even remotely relating to a CHICKEN PIZZA. Major fail, y'all..

One of the countless lessons I learnt that day, was to never get over-the-top kinda excited about things without actually doing multiple cross checks about it, and never to try something new on an already bad day, because dude, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT CHIZZA.

Very soon,  I shall pen down something even more happening than my tales of numerous Dubai-Fails and Food-ing experiences. You guys are always welcome to comment experiences me ways to control my hyper ninja mode. Till then, Shab bakhair!

Love,

Momma On Budget!

Bonjour, y’all! My name is Anum Jaffri and I’m a UAE based blogger! I might term myself as a newbie on the interwebs, but irl, blogging has always fascinated me in terms of venting, reviewing, marketing, and sharing the deets of one’s life! And being an MBA qualified, I know how powerful social media is! So there you go, the people of the internet! This is my blog! I’m the Wing Momma of a one year old gorgeous boy who I named Yusha! And this is my blog about my journey, musings, likes and dislikes, and my adventures in the UAE!

Moving away from Pakistan to UAE was exciting and tough, but with my Husband’s help, I discovered the brighter side of this foreign country, which I now call home. Here, not only I discovered how amazingly easy and safe everyday life is (Yes I’m a karachiite, I’m allowed to say this), but also how economical everyday necessities are. But in terms of adventures and outdoorsy stuff, it gets a little tricky!

If you’ve been to Dubai or any mall in the UAE, you might have the idea of how the vendors hike the prices because of tourism influx. Yes, the sales are amazing and to die for, but normally, everything nice is expensive! Even when you’re earning well (alhamdulilah), at one point, things get a little tricky. In order to get through the month while not compromising on the fun (Dining out and stuff) and trying to save up, it takes a little effort and a lotttt of will power to stay on the budget! (I mean c’mon have you seen those sales at Carrefour?)

So yeah, in the following posts, I will try my best to give my everyday tips and tricks of a super observing middle-eastern Wing Momma! Till then, Adios!
